OBJECTIVES

Learning Outcomes:         

The participants will be able to:

  • realize the main principles and requirements of writing a good manuscript for a scholarly publication;
  • understand the foundations of research;
  • learn how to start a scientific study
  • identify a research problem,
  • do the necessary literature screening for your research,
  • determine the variables, hypotheses and assumptions of your research,
  • determine the objectives, importance, definitions of your research and
  • to write the problem section of your research; or your research proposal.
  • define basic concepts and principles used in research,
  • explain the differences of various research methods,
  • summarize the steps followed in education research process,
  • exemplify writing research questions, selection of an appropriate sampling, literature review, data collection and data analysis processes,
  • write a research proposal,
  • indicate differences between qualitative and quantitative research patterns.
